Sailing the Gentle Breeze

After all those salty tears we've cried
For what was far too long a while
Against their fears we know we tried
It is our turn now to finally smile
Today those storms have surely passed
Gale winds given o'er to gentle breeze
The black endless sea is calm at last
Unto this fair weather let us sail at ease
I will never become your stranger
My warmth for you will never cease
We both survived black water danger
Let's now just sail together in peace
Once we were on love's waves tossed
But we held on and did not run aground
We would not go down to sea graves lost
We held on to Hope that we'd be found
We survived the longest darkest night
Two beaconed souls that still beamed Love
You sailed for me through starkness bright
In the best friendship ever dreamed of
