Hold on fast Love as we embark
Our full strong spirits in our sails
Away from shores jagged and dark
Unto calm seas, into unknown gales...
Set our course by summer sunrise
Steer true by north star in moonlight
Sailing forth under today's blue skies
Steadfast our bearing through the Night...
Fear not, my Love, the old seafarers' tales
about the many ardent lives lost out at sea
For gentle rise these waves and whales
That lap in duldrum soft, so peacefully
Through fair weather, come, then rest
Before the zephyr breeze takes hurry
Tonight calm seas may churn towards tempest
To test our Heart''s resolve by the Storm's fury
Against these rolling waves hold fast!
After the storm our course I will recover
Unto our sight old familiar shores at last
Where I stand green again, always your Lover!
