Yes, the pain comes on in quietude
in silent moments and through night
Its the price we pay for their sad solitude
the consequence of we two burning bright
All our pure words come back at leisure
before they then arrest us in their track
They extract their toll then for our pleasure
for our dreams they bind us to their rack
Its our shared ecstasy that haunts them
when we succumb to their own blues
Its the Love we have that taunts them
so they plie their evil old thumb screws
Its the positive energy that found us
that makes them spin in swirling hate
They cannot stand that Love surrounds us
so they set out for us their poison bait
Bite not their baneful apple, Love
apply your ruby lips to mine instead
Against their drowning scheme come rise above
with me, my gentle hands upon your head
Yes, their fears come on with our capture
but my dear I'll not ever let you drown
Its just the perils we must face in rapture
Look up my Love! They'll never take us down...
