We knew warmth would come eventually
With cold winter winds now well behind us
So let the Sun shine upon us sensually
Let each green stalk and bloom remind us
Warm, we knew our dark Mother Earth below
Would cure all the winter blues that ail us
As She basks renewed in Her sun's glow
Her green gown rising 'round won't fail us
Through dull greys spring greens grow vibrant
Against cold rocks and dead dull life detritis
Find in each green blade our goddess strident
Though with steel blades He tries to spite us
Behold a violet bloom at this days fine end
Her delicate petals soft, flaring full and wide
Held resplendent thus She stays mine friend
Her nectar glistens in full bloom pulled aside
We know with Spring returns our nourishment
Like these fresh green shoots that rise from Earth
Guarding over your beauty's violet flourishment
Beltane delayed steals not our passionate mirth
