Lend me your hand my Mother fair
That I might kiss it on my knees
Then come ride with me my Maiden
On our dark horses through the trees
Lend me your ear upon our spring time hack
That we might get lost out on our own
Through fields green and flowering lilac
Come ride on with me my lovely Crone
Its just only blood and grass stains
That speckles my white cotton shirt
Trot boldly on with me upon loose reins
Let Hope take from wounds the hurt
Lend us cool comfort in our joyful tears
That I might share with you warm Love
Come ride far with me beyond our fears
Beneath winged songs of mourning dove
Lend me now your springtime blossom
That I May adorn with it your horse's bridle
To a lilac scent our ride's more awesome
While peaceful hearts just lope & idyll
