Beneath the new moon's weeping willows
Come, just lie down with me, my Love
Sink your weary deep head in soft pillows
Rest cast in shadows from the orb above
Let me just hold you in my strong arms
That I might wash away your fearful dreams
I will shelter you from Love's dark harms
Let my old soul absorb the near dull screams
For I know the source of your black nightmare
We are both so receptive to Her earthly pain
You've always walked upon the world aware
While history's tears fall down on you like rain
Close your eyes and take my weathered hand
Then embrace in me all the world's sorrow
We cannot change the past from where we stand
But in Love we can still face anew tomorrow
Beneath the waxing moon and white oak trees
Come, forget the world that leaves you numb
Tonight you will still find me on my knees
But in hopeful Prayer for better days to come...
