Could You Stay Despite the One?

If you got married as a mere child
Then grew much wiser more than old
But 'found your spouse remained too mild
Could you just stay and do what you are told?
If you no longer sought his presense
Because he had nothing new to really say
But you envied now his dumb innocence
Could you still intelligently stay?
If you no longer want his nude kiss
Because it lacks now verve and passion
But you just know his gentle way you'd miss
Could you break his heart to stay in fashion?
If you knew a much more ardent lover
One who makes you feel young and so alive
But you kept sleeping dully under cover
Could you stay with him and still survive?
If you met your opposite equal other
Whose art romantic fed your higher dreams
But you chose to stay the dutiful mother
Could you stay Beautiful despite the screams/
