I do not claim to know it all
I won't presume to be your teacher
But I too have always loved our Lady
And I know She's no feminist preacher
I do not say I have the answers
But I still like to do the research
Serenading Her through our fair seasons
In a bark spirit canoe made of tree birch
I will not defend all of His reasons
For I know they are largely outdated
No, I have given over to Her intuition
But still my love for Her's insatiated
My dreams won't come all to fruition
While men's old ways grow out of fashion
But I know this: our Lady's not a lesbian
Though I can still respect your passion
I don't insist that I'm enlightened
So I guess I'll continue to seduce Her
My sweet equal opposite's not frightened
Except by urbane womyn who reduce Her
