Oh Blackgod son of setting sun
My grandfathers whom art in Raven
I offer up to you this cold steel gun
To free my hunter's heart enslavened
Blackgod I stand tall before you
Long before this breaking of day
Whispering prayers that I may soar too
When morning flight wings Life away
Oh please Blackgod listen to me
Ancient One I am to you mere child
Let your darkness shine right through me
Like near black feathers glisten wild
Blackgod of our Moonless Night
My great grandfathers of the Hunt
Take from these deer their keenest sight
Make their sharp senses become blunt
Oh Blackgod bless this cedar arrow
When their Life from Death must part
Let it fly true straight and narrow
For we take deer down only with our Heart
