O
This full moon finds me empty
A man now mercifully hollowed out
Her piercing shafts no longer cut me
I've not the voice to shout Her name aloud
This full moon finds me bleeding
A shell near death strangely at ease
All things most beautiful are fleeting
I've still breath yet to re-raise me to my knees
This full moon metal leaves me colder
Yet my blood flows warmer than before
A man no longer dying just to hold Her
No, I must get up to joust on ever more
This full moon finds me far too peaceful
As Her light illumes the trees in gathering frost
Sparkling off black horseback and steel dull
I've no good reasons for cantering unto loss
No, this moon season finds me stronger
Standing proud anew below a darker lover
For tonight She'll shine not any longer
Through this my armor grey cloud cover
