Thin Ice

Walking on Thin Ice

I have never walked upon black water
But I've drawn stars down from the sky
I've not held on for our holy daughter
And I have no need to reason why
I have never cleft red seas apart
But I have witnessed a few miracles
I truly know not Mary's sacred heart
Though I've felt Her Love in mystic circles
I've not made spring water into wine
But I've sipped from Our Lady's holy grail
I've not one goddess who is truly mine
Yet She exists in all You who are female
I have not stopped yet one disaster
But I've forewarned of floods and hurricanes
I've not brought on one harm any faster
Though I've lead some from burning planes
I've not spread false gods' words around
But I have danced struck in lightning thrice
I've not breathed life back unto one drowned
Yet I tred often on thin frightening ice...
