I'll give you one seventh of my time
and nine tenths of my olde soul
my best fraction of essential rhyme
For in your presense I feel whole
I'll give you one seventh of my evenings
and nine tenths of my soft heart
the better fractions of my feelings
So high together and so low apart
I'll give you one seventh of my merit
and nine tenths of all my leisure
the best fraction of my better spirit
Availed soley for your ardent pleasure
I'll give you one seventh of my earnings
and nine tenths of all my darkest strife
the best fraction of my midnight yearnings
For you I would lay down all my life
I'll give you one seventh of my reasons
and nine tenths of our merriest mirth
by finer days spent in all four seasons
between a moonlit mystery and rebirth
