Dust

(
He's sitting in an east sunbeam
Engrossed so deeply lost in thought
Watching dust drift light all around
The olde soul within this little tot
He has been born into his own dream
This young boy now sitting on your floor
Pointing to air-borne dust Earth-bound
Telling you about the lives he led before
He's learnt not yet of the Christian theme
Not of dark ashes dust-to-dust, nor death
Its a more ancient knowledge here he's found
Of rebirth prayers in every dust filled breath
"Listen you can hear them scream
The people trapped there in the dust!
They return when their time comes 'round
For what will be is of now, the past, and must!"
He is sitting in the morning sunbeam
Enthralled with wisdom and deep thought
Watching sunlit dust drift down all around
Whispering to the olde soul in this tot...
