Grand is our canyon here within
Vast are the higher plains without
Reborn by sunlight are the living
Past are the heavy clouds of doubt
Sacred are our secrets hidden
Beyond their battlefields of grey
Fast was our dark horse ridden
Unto greener pastures of today
Holy are these dreams we hold
Cast out in seeds by our own hand
Finding purchase in stone cracks of old
Slowly renewing abused barren land
May trees skyward spring from what we sow
Above the used-up fields of yore
Pines stalwart be from these that grow
Unto like endless forests of before
Life-giving are the rains that fall
Upon snow lying deeply here below
That will melt with time to nourish all
In warmth's release by Light & Shadow
