Ostara's Cold Hard Sun

Its a cold hard Sun that's setting
To Ostara's rising full moon glow
The golden light a tower flaring
Reflected off this deep shroud of snow
Its a hard cold wind still blowing
Unto Ostara's hopeful full moon glow
There's not a hint of green yet showing
No, this spring we'll take it really slow
The welcome equinox came yesterday
And yes, tonight Ostara's full moon glow
So that makes tomorrow our 'Good Friday'
But its too soon to say with all this snow...
There are no dark spots on the Sun this year
To warmly caress Ostara's full moon glow
So my thoughts turn towards struggling deer
And to the howl of wolves at twelve below...
Its a hard cold Sun that's set down now
Before Ostara's haunting full moon glow
I don't feel spring Life's renewel some how
Live fawns this year may not bless the doe...
