I Thought of You...

Beltaine 2008

I thought of you while I worked alone
Under last week's Beltaine Sun then gaining
Building a perfect circle of dry limestone
To celebrate the April moon now waning
I thought of you with each stone I laid
And how what goes comes Karmically around
It seems when Love is lost new friends are made
With each stone placed the perfect fit is found
I thought of you as my own long day ended
With a red late April warm Sun setting
Wondering about this Goddess befriended
Circles have no end points worth regretting
I thought of you when the stone ring complete
Then I lit a pyre to guide home souls eleven
May you find solace through our merry meet
And by this fire's embers Earth rejoined to heaven
I thought of you this fair Beltaine morning
As I rose with proudly singing male birds
They reason not thus know never forlorning
They know What Is - not Life defined by words
