Its a warmer rain now falling
Restoring Life from cold black ground
Here a spring chorus of male birds calling
Above the silence, a more peaceful sound
Underfoot a damp swamp forest floor
Below tall maples budding out in reds
Upon Her soft Earth today, as times before
May cool Spring bring us ever fiddleheads
Walk me here in circles with no wand
Though keep your athame knife at hand
For here its useful to cut fresh fern frond
Connected through spring's harvest to the land
When She has gifted us a pound at least
Come, let's slow cook back at our place
Then with wild game and greens we'll feast
Before I reach to boldly touch your lovely face
This eve it is a gentler mist now settling
Renewing green good Nature all around
Here we have gold reasons for forgetting
For in sweet balsam scent we are refound
