There's three paintings by the cabinet
Three rowan chairs on the porch
Three stone celtic crosses in St. Neots
And three more hill-top bales to torch
There's three horses in the barnyard
Three black whips in the tack room
Three olde bronze triskeles left to guard
And three mystic phases in each moon
There's three crows by the roadside
Three bright shiny leaves in poison ivy
Three grand elm trees crowning wide
And three faces in each goddess lively
There's three sky orbs in eternal dance
Three spoons silver in a bowl of yoghurt
Three dark huntresses deserve romance
And there three ways a man can really hurt
There's three red candles on the table
Three green acres 'round each house
Three homes adorned with gothic gable
And three branches in both rivers Ouse
There's three months in every season
Three more full cords in the wood shed
Three mystic questions turn each reason
And in three decades I'll be dead...
There's three stone circles in each yard
Three yards wide are each stone circle
Three statues bless through marble hard
And three spikes driven birth each miracle
There's three red foxes in the meadow
Three worn weaves in reins of leather
Three riders galloping in forested shadow
Where three species thrill there all together
There's three deer in the deep freeze
Three wooden long-bows on the wall
Three cedar arrows quivering among trees
And in three moons there will come fall
