Was I kind enough to love you?
Such were sad thoughts it started from
My promise then to never rise above you
For with I below you most divinely come
Was I strong enough to kiss you?
That was not my motive at weak start
My mistake: not knowing how I'd miss you
Nor believing you could steal my heart
Was I bold enough to lay you down?
That question you boldly answered first
And I misjudged the powers of your frown
For we knew not the dark depths of our thirst
Was I smart enough to make you mine?
That was the dumbass challenge I created
You proved to be a three faced goddess fine
So ever cast upon your vast seas was I fated
Am I still tough enough to not let go?
To this long black mystery we've become
Under your lunar Trinity I set down low
Before I rise with morning's equilibrium
