Do you remember when we sailed
Across vast seas towards a fresh start?
How we had kept our olde religion veiled
Our hope renewed settling closer to the heart
Do you remember how we laboured
In our poor olde world lives for lazy lords?
How they viewed us druids as unfavoured
Then only silence spared us from their swords
Do you remember our small dirt farms
Our thankless toils for the king's rich leisure?
How being "subjects" there kept us from harms
Our secret lives then were our only pleasure
Can you recall the centuries long before
Across vast time when we were free hunters?
How we lived like gods & goddesses of lore
Our hearts strong yet empathic to one's tears
Can you remember how we once gathered
Around turning seasons and stone circles?
How through our Love and dance we lathered
Warmed by fire and moonlight we made miracles
