Moon (When I gaze up)

When I gaze up longing at the moon
You ask me what is it there I see
She's the Sun god's true love in ruin
Reflecting lightly cooly back on me
I reach now Hopeful when She's waxing
Close behind the setting day's descent
Sun basked it seems She's then relaxing
Unmasked She bares Her clawed crescent
When She shines full I'm charmed of course
By Her so bright and lumunious above me
I ride by moonlight there on my high horse
Then e'er self-deceiving She still loves me...
I feel soon more lonely as She's waning
Losing chase amidst the morning Sun's ascent
I can then fool myself Her heart I'm gaining
As She dawns again a cruel clawed crescent
When unto darkness then my Goddess turns
In those nights I fear She truly is unreachable
Life through blackness such by lesson learns
Except for those among us too unteachable
I scribe Light under all of Her moon phases
So You rightly wonder what it is I've known
Therein a changling Goddess of three faces
And one dark side mysterious... and unshown
