Her Changing Climate

Get ready for more cruel weather wild
Both nightmarish and like summer dreams
At times harsh cold then cool wet come mild
As Our Mother confused writhes between extremes
Even planes are falling from the sky
When flying into warmer moist air masses
From out frigid cold fronts, high and dry
Then icing up at the polar face it deathly passes
Somewhere whole towns are burnt in drought
Buried some place else are folk chilled in snows
That Her climate is fast changing have no doubt
But its not warming between new net highs and lows
When poor farms produce less wheat and rice
Stock markets tanking fall like monsoon rain
Then rural freedom can’t be bought for any price
As gray dark cities are at last washed clean
Get ready for more cold wild cruel weather
When a cooler yet sharp north wind starts to blow
Yet we have always rode winter storms together
Before Her springtime greens begin to re-grow
