Soft green moss grows over limestone
By ancient glacial waters worn & weathered
In pasts exposed once to raw winds, the elements
At last in deep forest shade re-greened & feathered
Plush moss now carpets long-fallen trees
That She reclaims through fungus back to Earth
To re-feed tall pines swept leaning with the breeze
Through old growth among us long before our birth
Vast is this verdant bed, our giving forest floor
Light shadows dancing black beneath white cedar
We're cast within so ardently ecstatic ever more
Just like Sun & Moon romancing when I need Her
Let all the world below us be merely our pillow
Fall gently down with me like these two great pines
Get twirled then swirled blown down lost we go!
Where twice lightning strikes there Nature dines…
Lie now in silence thick with me among green moss
Amidst the prancing sunlight & expanding sky above
It may seem Her violence laid us low in dark storm loss
But by this forest glade & Light we’ll be re-born in Love
