In these days before the solstice
Balsam scents perfume still morning air
And sometimes you wonder if I'll notice
These new gray threads in your dark hair…
On these fine mornings full of birds’ song
In the cool calm dawn before the sunrise
You still wonder if my Love’s that strong
When I behold your sunken sleeping eyes…
Beneath a pleasant midnight moon of June
Once full of Life, though now She’s waning
You look up to wonder might I leave soon
That's when I prove to You my Love is gaining!
Beside the winding river’s weeping willow
I want to dip my paddle deep in your black water
Inside we find I sink with you unto our pillow
There once more you think about a daughter…
In these fine days before the summer Solstice
The morning balsam scent touches still the air
At times like this I wonder if you really notice
How much your Crone essence takes me there!
