I have whispered on the wind ‘I love you’
At least one hundred thousand times
Though high in sins I rise never above you
And for you I’ll write three thousand rhymes
For far too long we have pretended
That we are platonic best of trusting friends
Today before you strong I stand un-represented
What I must now do is make our just amends!
My dear, I have confronted my dark dragon ego
You’ve helped me slay that darkest beast within
So more sly, undaunted and egged on we grow
We’ve dwelt too many silent days in grief's low din
What is it that keeps our friendship strong?
If not for each other strong underlying Love?
That is what weeps when endings seem so wrong
The gift that teaches not but thunders ‘why’ above
I have whispered Light upon the wind “I love you”
At least one hundred thousand times
Though I rise high in sin 'tis never above you
And for you I'll ever write three thousand rhymes
