Mid-Winter's Thaw

Let me drown in the depth of your Beauty
Where always I die in the warmth of your womb
Let Earthly delight there become my dark duty
Until I lie still enlightened, en-tombed
Take my last breath away with your wings spread
Arched to Heaven divine as I fall to my knees
There in flight bring Life back to me from the dead
Until I am willing again to do all that you please
Let us breathe tall then with trees of your forest
Like a mid-winter's thaw by night moonlit kissed
Beneath gray wolf howls & great horned owls in-chorused
High above lake freeze and Love and sub-nivian mists
Let me bleed out river-run to your Ocean
As tears welling up return to vast swelling seas
Its just want's longing that sets needs in motion
And dreams streaming that will finally bring ease
Let me sing to you like songbirds in springtime
After stag antlers emerge, shed from white snow
For the child unborn I'll call out ever, wild in rhyme
I'm quite naturally torn by this thing you might know...
