Let Just Tonight...

Let Just Tonight
(One World Come Between Us)
I long still for your soft tender lips
When e’er in pre-dawn I rise to Venus
We dream-dance each lunar red eclipse
Then must one night the world come between us
Our thoughts surround us in fair weather
Like solstice yearning for mid-summer’s height
True opposites circle equal together
For just birds-of-prey strike out at will in flight
When you Moon, I Sun, and Earth align
Down here the showy lady’s slippers flower
Then from shadows grown glow you Divine
Let lunar whites bled red reveal Her power
Come ride about our season’s circle
If She's not chasing me, He's chasing you
In life’s balance find therein the miracle
Despite these ages dark I’m still facing you
I long still for your smooth slender hips
When e’er in pre-dawn I rise to Venus
We’ll dream-dance between each red eclipse
Let just tonight One World come between us
