Musty Mansion

Musty Mansion
My mind's a musty mansion
Of about three hundred unkept rooms
It overwhelms four dirty chamber maids
Its just too dusty for their worn straw brooms
At least three dozen old oak doors are locked
And no one here has ever found the keys
Nor would the chamber maids who can't keep up
Open more rooms just to have to clean these
My mind's a messy labyrinth
Built of natural stone and hand-hewn beams
I spent winter nights in dim lit dens
Some black rooms I visit only in my dreams...
Its grand entrance faces to the east
Hides of beasts, once-hunted, line dark halls
Come fall's harvest moon here witches feast
Dining 'midst horned skulls adorning high stark walls
Inside my mind's a musty castle
Full of libraried books in shadow
While four filthy maids 'happily unhassled
Spend time outside tending gardens where we grow
