Where bittersweet and sapling maples
Grow together on the forest edge
There Nature and pure mystery meet
Creating art for men of knowledge
Though the Romans banned shellelaghs
And when they cut down most the oak
In openings grew young maple trees
Beneath which some bittersweet then took
If you're searching for your spirit staff
This forest's worth a second look
Among the bittersweet and maple
We learn here from Nature not their book
Some maple saplings here are figured
Shaped by Time and bittersweet's tight vine
With thanks fell down the one most needed
Here may you find that All is intertwined
Where bittersweet and spiralled maples
Grow together on the woodland edge
Here Nature and olde mysteries meet
Creating staffs for men of forest knowledge
