Ring of Fire
March 31, 2012
In this life we're all prospectors
Here down below we stake our claims
Might we ever rise above, protectors?
Or must we mine love deep to make our names?
All things, they say, have their own price
Down here we choose what we persue
Some things entice, and we'll pay thrice
Shall we drown or fly high through pure blue?
We are all looking for rare Earth
Be it warm soul hearts or rocks of gold
We chase green dreams of spring's fair birth
Then fall rich autumn's leaves when we grow old
Dance me 'round your ring of fire
But do not disturb our hallowed ground
Romance me in your whole flames' desire
For all gets lost when new hearts bold are found
In this Life we are all prospectors
Here down below we'll stake our claims
Will we ever rise high, Earth's protectors?
Or must we mine Her, just to make our names?
