(Upon the Sun King's Horses)

Ride light with me 'neath shadowed trees
Upon the Sun King's strong black horses
In saddle straddling a warm summer breeze
Shimmering bright beside deep watercourses
Guide me slowly down Love's dark ravine
Bright upon our Sun King's noblest steeds
Until we re-emerge from heights serene
Unable then to sort wants wrong from needs
Keep loose reins firmly in one hand
With the other take mine by your side
I'm now at your softest eyes' command
By the Sun King's equine stream come glide!
Tonight we'll dream 'bout olden ways
'But for now let's just gallop iron horses
Blessed under our Sun King's golden rays
Come thunder gently on with no remorses
Ride Light with me 'neath re-greened trees
Upon the Sun King's best dark horses
High in saddle straddling a warm west breeze
Sky-bridled to black elemental forces...
