A poem about poems

Age Group: Teen
An Idea springs into my mind
an everchanging thing of wonder
every shape every colour , moving rapidly around,
then gently floating
Quickly my mind captures it like a net that is still being woven
my fingers type franticly sometimes hitting wrong keys
in my frenzeid attempts to record this before it fades
or changes shape too much
some is lost forever , replaced by a better thought
some is gently reworked ever so slightly so it fits
there will occaisonally be leftovers that tantalize ,
not right for this peice ,
but they will be kept and stored as if in bottles , to solidify in stone so that I can pull them out later
to be used where more appropriate
as I finish a peice I feel a great sense of achivement and pride
maybe someone else on the other side of the world will read it and know it like I know it
The end of a poem can be a sad sweet farewell or a bright happy goodbye filled with kind laughter.
