four , lions of babalon

Age Group: Adult
where lions are caged symbols of dieing empires
in decline , off battles of nations as old as humanity.
freadom and majesty confined behind bars thay await
the fate of prisoners death calls the unbounded.
yet bombs will come and release the lions of babalon,
fore freedom comes in many masks oppression seems
costly .
yes thay are free from the confines of concrete and the
human zoo keepers.
the zeitgiast of change will come it smells like blood on the
wind, with a breeze it changes direction, yes blood on the wind with cordite and a hint of oilfield on fire.
yes freedom of the four, wild things for a moment of time
untamed and as free as chaos.
ping , zip, zip , ping death comes thuding into powerful living flesh there end is merciful and quick.
blood touches sand and the four directions are meet and conquered.
Author's Notes: in april of 2003 four lions escaped the bagdad zoo during the bombing of iraq, the starving animals were later shot by u.s forces ......... there were human loses also.
this poem is about that.
