Memoriam : London Bombings
A burning stink
And the flying glass
Takes us back
Into the past
Of broken hearts
And bleeding lives
Of terrorists in
Their evil hives
But where is the girl
With whom I danced
Those smiling eyes
On whose heart I chanced
Is she still here or
Has she gone?
And will alone
My life go on?
And the pretty girl
Without a care
Bright blood seeps
Through her blonde hair
Quietly she calls a name
Face streaked by tears of pain
Every single time the same
Until the reaper calls her name
And sad we watch
The shattered trains
And tabloids revel
In all the names
But all too soon
It’s all long gone
That sad morning
When a wan sun shone
And all that’s left
Is a measure of days
Where in my lonely mind
My dead lover plays…
