Drowning

Age Group: Adult
I'm drowning, drowning,
Drowning in despair,
Calling for someones love,
To pull me out of here.
I try to scream,
No words come out.
I try to move,
Water pulling me down.
My mind's in disarray,
My life on the line,
I cannot breathe or move,
Bring me back to life!
A hand shoots into the water,
Grabbing for mine,
As we reach for each other,
My inner mind sighs.
I'm dragged out,
Half dead, though as still as time,
Given the kiss of life,
I take my first breath.
Opening my eyes,
I gaze into his.
'Love at first sight'
Enters my mind.
Author's Notes: suffocated is the thought I had in my mind while I wrote this.

You're always there when I need that extra hug,
But most of all, you can help me when no other people can.
Stay happy now and forever...
