My Blue Light

Age Group: Adult
The light turned out,
Plunging the world into darkness.
The Earth scarred and bare,
Holding no resemblance to its former beauty.
I seek you out,
With my blue soul light,
It twinkles, glancing,
Off the harshness of the ground.
I seek you out,
I call your name.
You do not answer,
Have you become lost?
I seek you out,
The only light in this world,
Other than me,
Was my friends.
I seek you out,
My friends drowned in the darkness,
Won’t return,
The enemy comes near.
I seek you out,
The enemy attacks while I defend,
I shout for your help,
In spirit you arrive.
I’ve found you now,
And together we stand,
On the battlefield,
Victorious, but not without sacrifice.
I used my blue light,
Everyone I love has gone.
I used my blue light,
And was left alone.
