With a Twist of Fate

Age Group: Adult
Just with a twist of fate,
She lost her love, it was too late,
The fool to love, she had so much to gain,
But he took it all and gave her pain.
That's the girl who fell in love,
Dreams of fantasy they wove,
Promises made that were just a token,
Inevitably were made to be broken.
Now when she cries to the heavens above,
Lamenting why fate forced her to love,
Now when she sits, blankly glaring,
Her cold lifeless eyes just carry on staring.
She loved to soar through the skies,
Now she’s drowning in all the lies,
Her soul will never be aroused,
The flame of her spirit was doused.
A prisoner in chains, her mind seeks,
A way to stop, a way to keep,
Her heart from ever loving again,
To stop her from ever feeling pain.
Just with a twist of fate,
She lost her love to cold hate,
The fool to love, no more will she gain,
She relieved herself of all the pain.
