Not Long Ago

Not long ago did our paths stray,
Unspoken words I have left to say,
Unspoken words I long to hear,
Shall never part from you, my dear.
Not long ago you led the dance,
With all the world and future I chanced,
Leaving my heart an open door,
With the craving of loving you more.
Not long ago you walked away,
And for that, I’ll eternally pay,
No future hopes have I to claim,
You threw me away like a child’s game.
Not long ago my heart stopped, still,
The gap is never going to be filled,
Why did you say you loved me to?
If you didn’t believe in me and you!
Not long ago I saw better days,
Winds refreshing breeze, the suns warm rays,
But now I just want life to mend,
To embrace the abyss’ bittersweet end,
I’ll leave this world because of you,
I’d thought you shared my feelings too,
Blinded by a veil of trust,
Maybe it was all said in lust.
Not long ago, I loved you,
I just wish…you’d loved me too.
