An Imbolc

The wheel turns, with the promise of new.
As the lord and lady reunite in true
True darksome night. When all is blue. And darkest skies have followed through.
Yet deep in the darkness, the peak of the tide.
A glimmer of hope in our frost bitten stride.
As snows prosper in the coldest night.
The Cailleach bold, reigns frost wintry light.
The White Goddess, bone white is her sight.
In darksome skies, no thoughts may lay hidden.
Truth be unveiled, this season a given.
T’ is time of turning
The lady is stirring, amidst our darksome slumber.
Awakening from frozen dreams, that quiver beneath thunderous seams.
Of cold covered streams and all that gleams,
In the icy darkness of shadows and all that howls. In the moon of the wolf.
To a promise of rebirth, re-emergence and worth.
It is time to awaken
Our dear Lady Maiden.
For it is time to move the beat therein.
That little glow, that spark from within.
The Maiden brings our brightness through.
As the starriest skies, are so vibrant and true.
For is it not, that it’s through the darkest skies stars are seen?
To glimmer, and sheen.
The candle flame in the dark.
As sun beam upon a lifeless park.
Illuminating the inner spark.
Dawn for chambers of sleeping tombs.
Awaking senses, and eternal wombs.
So snow will turn to water
The rivers of life carry the daughter.
Born from reunion of God and Goddess
The illumined Swan, now to sail upon.
The Serpent of earth has granted new birth.
Like a shining Sun.
Earth gives birth to the Exalted One.
Movement from the womb of She.
Giver of life come forth from thee.
Out from darkness, and into the light!
Brighid steps forth, white wisdom, insight.
For on this night, and sacred rite.
We gather to welcome and honour you Maiden.
As you breathe your breath upon the land
To lay your green cloak with your hand.
Come in! Brighid Welcome, Come in!
Like dew drops of bells and sun rise beam wells.
As the sun grows and swells.
So all lives may prosper in the gifts that you offer.
Feill na Bride, Feis na Finne!
Feast of the Bride. Welcome in!
And may your inspiration be blessings and healings therein.
To all that wake their minds within.
And let blossoms flourish in the garden of kind and the deep welled mind.
Great Lady Brighid.
You offer nourishment in your seed
Of life in which you breed.
Giver of life, Jewel from the night.
Radiant, glow in all our light.
We hail to thee
Blessed Be!
