Give Me Wings

Give Me Wings
Laughter, tears, dreams and hopes
Sorrow, fear, frustration and how to cope
Joy and anger, confusion, distractions
Richness, hunger, discontent and satisfaction
Learned to give and in return received
Learned to pray and the believed
Understood patience, love and virtue
Time to let go of what has hurt you
Respect and compassion taught in this life
As well as disappointment, pain, and strife
All the blessings, treasures kept
All the tears the world has wept
Loved ones, know, twas all worthwhile
Look forward in life, don't cry but smile
As I go, I ask two things
Go with the Divine
And give me wings.
Written for one whom was soon to pass.
