Suicide

My brother-in-law committed suicide today.
I can understand the amount of pain in life.
I have been there… I have been that down.
But why let them win? Why give in?
He was only 33. So much life left within him.
So many things he will never do.
It pains me to my core.
I will never get to see how many traits he shared with my husband.
Did they share a common interest or hobby?
He will never see the children we will have.
So many plans and dreams extinguished.
The questions in his Father’s eyes…the raw pain, it breaks my heart.
I feel deeply for his family.
He has moved on now, but the ones who are here…
They are the ones who feel the brunt of his choice.
They awake and the first thought is “maybe if I would have called or ….”
If your thoughts move to suicide…
Please take another breath. Please stop and think again.
Michael I am sorry you had to go.
And wish I would have had the chance to know you.
