The Traveler

We see the traveler as a lost soul, one who has lost his way in a world of people with a destination.
Could it be that the traveler knows something the settled do not?
Is it possible that those we considered to be enlightened are actually more in the dark than he?
They have lost that spiritual spark which ignites the flame, which lights the path.
So many wanderers, so few travelers, the object of seeking is not in the finding but in the experiencing.
Finally realizing that everything we seek in the world is not nearly as important as what we find hidden within ourselves.
The paradox is we seldom have the courage to seek within and find that spark which makes us the life long traveler.
Author's Notes: I wrote this one day while reading cards for a coffee house in Scottsdale, AZ and watching people go to and fro, no sense of the divine either within or around them.
Maybe we all need to take the fearless step of "The Fool" knowing that in our travels though blind are part of the web of our lives and that every place we go and all people we encounter have purpose.
I am resolute in being the life-long traveler.
