December Rain

December Rain.
The Waning Moon has left it's place,
But the sun is not at it's peak,
Hidden Behind the clouds of sorrow,
While rain drops happily.
I hear Splatter upon my roof,
right behind my head,
Gloom I think,
When I seek,
what is behind the curtain's edge,
I sit in my room,
bundled in bed,
My violet lamp the only light on,
It casts a low warm light,
That drifts across my journal page,
And hugs the bedside table so.
I feel at peace,
The rain helps me sleep,
And will direct me to meditation,
Right now it only drops,
But the atmosphere it gives,
Sparks my creativeness,
Such Inspiration.
Author's Notes: I wrote this in my book of poetry i carry with me to school and home. It was a rainy weekend day and i found myself inspired. I want others to read my poetry, and this is a great place to share it. Let me know if you like it. :)
