Bullied Altar

by CerrayaSlaughterHouse
 Age Group: Teen

They poke, And prod, And laugh with glee, A somber reminder that it will never be, The same Altar it once was, Its energies manipulated, Broken, And Stunned.
My altar stands, A once powerful thing, Now only a decoration to me, I try to fix my energy on it again, But I cannot, Because they will destroy it again, I tell them to leave it alone, Put my altar bell down, But they do not understand.
My altar recieves no respect, From my family, siblings, and friends, All I ask is for you to not touch it, My sacred space, I allow you in my room, So why disrespect my place? I tell you all its meaning to me, The importance, And you still make no hesitance, To grab my altar, Its peices, Run off, And laugh.
My altar stands in sorrow, All throughout the night, It dreads the morning ritual, The torture is sure to arrive.
My morning ritual is not one I would've chose, Siblings running in and out, Of my doorway's threshold, Not that it is the end, They dance around with my altar bell, Till it annoys me, They steal my faery statue, A small one that it is, and run off toying with it, Only to throw it back on the ground, Its sad metallic cold, Face starts to grow so old, Of the pain that it beholds, Storing the past.
Truley the do mean NO harm, For small children that they are, So unknown, To the religion I hold, So close to my heart, They do not understand the hurt they cause, When messing around my altar, They sure believe, That it is just a pretty center, Standing in my room, But for my friends, Its hard to let, Those feelings fly on by, For they understand, The matters at hand, They do not see me, Twist inside.
Respect the sacred space, Altars and shrines, Do not let, Others disrespect, Your space devoted to the Divine, But keep in mind, The three-fold law, Do not disrespect theirs either, Try to be patient, Fix it instead, Without them you would not learn, How would it be, If I woke up to see, Darkness of my room, Without a doubt, I would know, They have learned too, Even without my morning ritual, Would it be the same? Too bright light, Shining in, The ringing of the bell, Learning would be nothing, Without the experience.
A bullied altar I do have, But learning will it heal.
Author's Notes: I came up with this today, dec. 26th, have you ever been frustrated because everyone is always palying with your altar or moving things around just because they can walk in your room?
