The Creation Myth

Age Group: Adult
Dark Energy of the blackest matter
developed in the soul the mind, the mass
without weight, free of any gravity,
unbounded, atomless, invisible
to electromagnetism, Physics,
Astronomy, light, or mathematics -
the Goddess of the Missing Universe,
God, incorporeal and immanent,
a Deliverer Voice meteoric:
said "Death": stern Father the ninefold Mother
pronounced the necessary destiny
from the Tao blacker than the blackest Taos
kivas, circular in the underworld,
flying Shields through the outer atmosphere
on a star shooting faster than Psyche
hurrying to the Brook, fast by Eros,
where brave Erato released Her waters;
and therefrom, like the Moon's most-tidal waves,
directed thus the Pacific Ocean
to surround the Blessed Coconino
Island endlessly as far as the Sea!
