My Fate?

Age Group: Adult
My soul soars over the earth and through blue skies.
While my body is still trapped in his mind
Of torment and tears. A world full of lies.
Fists and blood as trees and rivers. Are his kind
Of affections. I don't cringe at this chore.
All words and pain, only minutes in time.
It's all distant echos, because I soar,
Above valleys, oceans and city signs.
Escaping from a world not my own.
With negative thoughts flow, “Is this my fate?”
To soar, high over a world, all alone.
I hide, run, and flee from my true soul mate.
Will this continue, making me despise
My very self. Wondering, “Will I arise?”
Author's Notes: It was suppose to be a sonnet, but I am not very good at it. But I like how it turned out.
