A Mothers' Dance in Cool Spring Rivers

Age Group: Adult
A Mother dreams of brighter sunsets,
and greener pastures.
Of rainbows upon waking,
and blue birds upon dawn.
Of Rabbits hopping through wild flowers,
In meadows abloom,
and deer racing through aspen and winters pine.
A Daydream of skipping along trails
and scampering up untouched cliffs,
in a forgotten forest.
Of dancing from rock to rock,
in a cool spring river.
Of laying in fields,
making pictures from clouds.
Dreaming at night of cozy fires,
and warm quilts,
keeping us safe at night.
You dreamt of raising a son
with a gentlemen's heart,
who takes value in a warm heart,
and a kind smile.
A son who takes value in simplistic effects,
and enjoys finding,
that last four-leaf-clover.
Blessed be, mothers of the earths' soil.
Be Blessed, a mothers heart.
Author's Notes: To my Mother, though we be apart in nature, you never knew that our hearts were so much alike. May you be happy in your life.
