Both Worlds

Why can't I have it
The best of both worlds
In despair I could not commit
His Agape Love so very deep
My emerald eyes still wearily weep.
Why can't I have it
The best of both worlds
I should give in, I should quit
But his honor, his respect I will loose
I have no tolerable excuse.
Why can't I have it
The best of both worlds
The guilt in my soul I do admit
Will he love again, will he forgive
The last few moments I want to relive.
Why can't I have it
The best of both worlds
I am always with you in spirit
For two my heart is undone
For two, my love and my son.
Author's Notes: Torn between the unconditional love of a man and the devotion and love for my son. Sometimes you can't have that picture perfect family you always dreamed of.
