The Fae

When all the light is faded, and the loss we knew is gone.
When the peacefulness surrounds us with the coming of the dawn.
Soft voices stir in shadows like whispers in the corn.
Then the magic happens, the spirit will be born;
On gentle winds and laughing rain with tiny wings they surround.
Yet we cannot see their faces, for they are upward bound.
They dance within the old elm trees, and with the willows sing.
Carefree, gentle, and playful; and their fears they do fling!
