First Day Out

Age Group: Adult
Out of the broom closet she purposely popped
To the side her bizarre black hat flopped
A wide whimsical smile shone across her face
Dramatic but dazzling she danced with little grace
Her charms made the sound of childlike tunes
Decoratively dangling most were phases of the moon
There to greet her was gracious Great Grammy
The one who guided but sometimes got that fanny
She shared these warm words with her
Keep your spirit your mirror clean from blur
From your heart reflect a radiant loving light
Peace and hope you could incredibly incite
She took those words and treasured them true
And now she gives this gift to you.
Author's Notes: A little girl being taught that it is simply all about the love and kindness that you sincerely share.
